About the programme

The programme is centered on quantitative methods for finance using mathematical and statistical approaches, and aims to prepare graduates for professional roles requiring a high level of economic and financial knowledge as well as essential quantitative skills that can be applied to solving specific problems in the wide-ranging financial market sector.

To integrate theoretical aspects with empirical applications, the Degree Programme uses professional econometric tools (MatLab, STATA, R, Phyton, Gauss), and database packages for the development of analysis such as Morningstar DIRECT, Refinitiv (Eikon and Datastream), AIDA and BankFocus. The programme is also partner with ARPM, and organizes flipped classrooms to further stimulate students’ interest and increase their knowledge in the field of advanced risk and portfolio management.

The Programme offers numerous occasions throughout the year in which students can exchange ideas and learn about experiences first-hand from professionals in the field of Finance (Meet the Practitioner Seminar series and the QFin@Work Conference on asset pricing as well as the annual ENEL Challenge and the CFA Challenge).

All students are offered Internships, Erasmus+ mobility, Thesis Abroad funding and other exchange opportunities in addition to the Dual-Degree programmes with the University of Gothenburg (Sweden) and the University of Minho (Portugal).
